CARLOW WEATHER: Mostly cloudy today (Feb 14) with patches of rain and sunny spells

This morning (February 14) will be mostly cloudy with patches of rain or drizzle along with hill mist. 

That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts a dry afternoon with sunny spells and highest temperatures ranging from 12 to 15 degrees. 

Moderate to fresh southerly winds, strong on Atlantic coasts, can be expected as well. 

A dry start tonight, but rain will develop in Atlantic coastal counties before midnight and will then extend gradually eastwards across the country overnight. 

Clear spells and scattered showers will follow into the west before dawn on Wednesday.

Lowest temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees in moderate southwest winds.
