Today's Trolley Watch figures
There are five people on trolleys and six on wards at St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny on Monday (July 23), according the latest trolley and ward watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.
The nationwide figure is 343, an increase of 22% on the same day last year when there were 281 patients on trolleys. The hospitals with the highest numbers on Monday are University Hospital Limerick (61) and Cork University Hospital (45).
Other figures for Monday include South Tipperary General Hospital (23) and University Hospital Waterford (5).
