The late Gerry Lacey

The death has occurred of Gerry Lacey of Clongowana, Athlone, Roscommon / Athlone, Westmeath / Carlow Town, Carlow.

Gerry passed away suddenly on Wednesday 23rd August. 

Predeceased by his brother Tommy and nephew Thomas. 

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Catherine and family Emma, Ian,  Shona, and Shane, grandchildren, Breandán, Conall, Sonny, Shay and Harry, daughter in law Janine, sons in law Noel and Ruari, brothers Peter, Frank, and Michael, sister Geraldine,  sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, friends and his comrades from the Band of the Western Command.

May He Rest In Peace

Reposing on Friday evening at the Strand Funeral Home (N37 E6K0) from 4pm to 6pm.

Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday morning in Ss. Peter & Paul's Church at 11am, followed by burial in Drum Cemetery.

The late Jim Murphy

The death has occurred of Jim Murphy of Killyshane, Palatine, Carlow.

Jim Murphy passed away peacefully, on 24th August 24th in the loving care of the nurses and staff of Hillview Nursing Home, Carlow.

He will be sadly missed by his extended family and friends, especially his good friends David, Hannah and family.

May Jim Rest In Peace

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Barrack St., Carlow, on Friday, 25th August, from 4pm concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening.

Removal on Saturday at 10.30am to The Holy Family Church, Askea arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Funeral afterwards to St Mary’s Cemetery for burial.

The late Ella McGuinn (née Dillon)

The death has occurred of Ella McGuinn (née Dillon) of Old Leighlin road, Leighlinbridge, Carlow.

Ella passed peacefully on 23rd August 2023.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie and daughter Hilary.

Ella, much loved mother of Berna and Elaine. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken daughters, sons-in-law Len, David and Simon, grandchildren Mary Kate, Patrick, Hannah, Caroline, Charles, Isobel, Conor, Ellie & Aidan, great-grandchildren Seamus & Joseph, sister Mina, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.

May Ella's Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at her home on Friday from 4pm to 8pm. 

Removal on Saturday morning to Saint Lazerian's Church, Leighlinbridge for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in Leighlinbridge Cemetery.
