The late George Byrne

The death has occurred of George Byrne of The Moate, Rathvilly, Carlow.

George passed away peacefully on 10th December 2023 at Wexford General Hospital; predeceased by his parents Joe and Rose, brothers Joe and Chappie and sister Rosie. Sadly missed by his brothers Mick and Jim, sisters Winnie, Eileen and Anne, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Tuesday evening from 5pm concluding at 8pm. Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly on Wednesday for 12 noon Requiem Mass after which he will be laid to rest in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rathvilly.

The late John Hurley

The death has occurred of John Hurley of Gahan House, Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny and formerly of Borris, Co. Carlow.

John passed away peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. Deeply regretted by his loving brothers Jim and Eugene, sister Mary, nephews, niece, sisters in law Agnes and Sue, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Joyce's Funeral Home, Borris on Wednesday from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm. Funeral to arrive at Sacred Heart Church, Borris for Requiem Mass at 11 am on Thursday followed by burial in The Sacred Heart cemetery, Borris.

The late Simon Ronan

The death has occurred of Simon Ronan of 10 Shillelagh Grove, Tullow, Carlow.

Simon passed away peacefully on 10th December 2023 surrounded by his loving family in the care of the nurses and staff of Hillview Nursing Home; predeceased by his sons Joseph and John and daughter Edel. Deeply mourned by his loving wife and best friend Margaret, daughter Mairead, sons Thomas, Nigel and Simon, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends including his faithful companion Coopie.
