The late Elizabeth (Betty) Kealy (née Reidy)
The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Kealy (née Reidy) of Bullock Pk, Carlow, and formerly Stradbally, Laois / Tullamore, Offaly / Geashill, Offaly / Reamore, Kerry.
Betty passed peacefully on the 8th January, in her 84th year, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Betty, beloved wife of the late Garda Sergeant James (Jim) Kealy (Hacketstown). Adored mother of Paul and Regina. Cherished sister of Theresa, Paul and the late Noel.
She will be sadly missed by her son and daughter, sister, brother, son-in-law Moe, Paul's partner Naomie, grandson Oskar, step-grandson Alex, extended family and friends.
Betty's family deeply appreciates all the help and kindness she received in her later years from the staff at St Luke's Hospital and Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny.
Special thanks are extended to Dr. Fionnuala Ní Ghrainne and the dedicated staff at Dolmen Medical Clinic. Heartfelt gratitude to the Palliative Care Team for their support. And to Betty's exceptional carers - Catherine, Debbie, Anne, Tanya, Jenny, Mary and Miriam - for their compassionate care of Betty in her home. Whose dedication made such a significant impact, and we are profoundly thankful.
May Betty Rest In Peace
A celebration of Betty's life and private cremation service for family will take place.
A memorial service will be held in Carlow at a later date.

The late Thomas Cronin
The death has occurred of Thomas Cronin of Slyguff, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow and formerly of Skoughvasteen, Co. Kilkenny and Donaghmede, Dublin.
Thomas passed away peacefully on January 9th 2024 at his home.
Predeceased by his parents, brother Dessie and sister Bridget. Sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret Cronin, sons Adrian, Derek, Paul and David, daughters-in-law, Julia, Fiona, Teresa and Juleen, grandkids Darragh, Hannah, Lorna, Sèan, Sophie, Erin, Alex, Ben, Jack and Hayley, sisters Beth, Christina and Eileen, brother Eamon, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
May Thomas Rest in Peace
Reposing at his home on Thursday afternoon from 2.pm to 8.pm, Concluding with Funeral Prayers at 7pm.
Removal from his home on Friday Morning arriving at St. Andrew's Church, Bagenalstown for Funeral Mass at 11am.
Burial afterwards in the Cemetery of the Assumption, Bagenalstown.
The late Martin (Bill) Byrne
The death has occurred of Martin (Bill) Byrne of 1335 William Pearse Terrace, Castledermot, Co Kildare.
Bill passed away peacefully, on January 7th, 2024, in his 75th year.
Beloved husband of the late Bernadette, much loved father of Kieran, Francis, Dermot, Martin, Sandra and Claire and cherished brother of Peter, Tony and the late Robbie, Frank, Maura, Pauline, Dermot and Paddy.
He will be sadly missed by his loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
May Martin Rest In Peace
Reposing at his home, 1335 William Pearse Terrace, Castledermot (Eircode R14 D721) from 3pm on Wednesday, January 10th, concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening.
Removal on Thursday at 10.30am to The Church of the Most Blessed Trinity, Moone, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am.
Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
