'Always a smile' Tributes paid after the death of beloved Carlow woman

Brigid Reid of Bennekerry has passed away March 14th

Tributes have been paid this week following the passing of Carlow woman Brigid Reid. She passed away surrounded by her loving family in the Sacred Heart Hospital, March 14th 2024.

Devoted and much loved wife of Pat and adored mother of Patrick, Thomas, Caroline, James, John, Marcella, Paul, Niall, David, Darren and Grandmother to 12 grandchildren.

Her Rip.ie death notices read: "Sincere condolence to the Reid family on the passing of Mrs Reid
Always a smile and a chat whenever I met her
R.I.P Mrs Reid."

Another added: "Sincerest sympathy to all the Reid family on your sad loss Mrs Reid was a pure lady since I made her acquaintance all of 40 years ago and a lovely family she can be proud of it was a pleasure to know you and meet you Mrs Reid may you be at peace now and god rest your gentle soul Amen."

And finally: "Sincere condolences to Pat & all the Reid family & extended family on the sad passing of Bridgie, Bridgie was the loveliest of the lovely always so happy & cheerful when we’d meet in town for a chat. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at her home (R93 W2V4) on Saturday from 3pm to 8pm and on Sunday from 3pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. House private thereafter, please. Funeral Mass on Monday (March 18th) at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Bennekerry. Burial afterwards in the adjoining
