Tributes paid to 'a role model' following the passing of local Carlow man

Tributes have been paid following the death of Tom Dormer of Sleaty Road Carlow on April 4th 2024 at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. 

Beloved husband of Anne and much loved father of Audrey, Thomas, Anne, Jennifer, Lynn and Orla. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, brother Paddy, sisters Mary and Esther, sons-in-law Jose, Kieran and Carlos, daughter-in-law Ann, grandchildren Sean, Adam, Diego, Alana, Anabel and Luke, extended family, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and they read as follows: 

"My condolences to Tom's family
He was a true gentleman and a role model and the kindness he showed me will never be forgotten
Thank you Tom"

Another reads: "I am truly sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences Auntie Anne and cousins Audrey, Thomas, Anne, Jennifer, Lynn and Orla. You are in my thoughts at this very difficult time. “When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure.”

And finally: "We are so sorry to learn of Toms sad passing. Sincere sympathy to Anne Audrey and all of Toms family. He was always such a pleasant and kind gentleman. We extend our condolences to all of Toms extended family friends and neighbours. May he rest in eternal peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Friday evening (April 5th) from 4pm to 8pm, pausing for prayers at 7pm. Removal from his home on Saturday morning at 10.30am to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen to arrive for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by private cremation.
