'A friend to all' Tributes paid to beloved local Carlow man following his passing

Jim Murphy - April 3rd 2024

Tributes have been paid following the death of Jim Murphy of "Ramada Rise", Ballyloo, Tinryland, Carlow. 

Jim passed away suddenly at his home on April 3rd 2024.

Dearly loved husband of Gill and much loved father of Andrew, Laura and Mikey. Sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, sons, daughter, brothers, sisters, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, adored grandchildren Nathan, Brooke, Blake, Daniel, Rachel, Orla and William, extended family, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "Gill, Andrew, Laura, Mikey and families. So sorry for your loss. Jim was a great family man and a friend to all. He will be sorely missed. Thinking of you at this very difficult time. May Jim Rest in Peace."

Another reads: "Deepest sympathy to Gill Andrew, Laura and Mikey and all the Murphy families and the sudden and sad passing of Jim. He was a really lovely man my thoughts and prayers are with you at the same time."

And finally: "Condolences to Jill, Andy, Laura and Mickey and all extended family at this awful time! Very fond memories of Jim on the sidelines at st Joseph’s! Always there to support and encourage! May he rest in peace!"

Funeral arrangements

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Sunday from 3pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church, Tinryland, followed by a private cremation.
