Tributes paid for 'A wonderful friend' following the passing of local Carlow woman

Patricia (Pat) O'Reilly - April 13th 2024

Tributes have been paid following the death of Carlow woman Patricia (Pat) O'Reilly on April 13th 2024.

She passed away peacefully in the CCU unit of St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny.

Pre deceased by her husband Tom, parents Tom and Molly and her sister Rosemary. Beloved mother of Aidan, Conor, Gavin and Damian, Very sadly missed by her sisters, Vera, Eileen and Gay, brothers John, Tom, Edward and Tony, daughters-in- law, grandchildren Jacob, Tara, Sophie, Orla, Pilar, Tomas, extended family and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "Sincere sympathy to all of Pat's Family so very sorry to hear the sad news of her death. A wonderful friend may Pat's gentle soul rest in peace my friend."

Another reads: "Sincerest sympathy to the O'Reilly and Geoghegan families on the untimely passing of Pat. Fondest memories of her time with us in St. Joseph's school. She was indeed a lovely lady. Solas na bhFlaitheas go deo uirthi."

And finally: "Deepest sympathies to all on the passing of lovely Pat, especially to Gavin and Eileen, two treasures. May Pat Rest in Peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Tuesday (16th, April) from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (April 17th) at 11am in Holy Family Church, Askea, Carlow. Burial afterwards in Carrickcruppen Cemetery, Camlough, Armagh. 

Family flowers only, please. Donation in lieu to Poor Clare Sisters, Graiguecullen, Carlow.
