Tributes paid for 'A wonderful character' following the passing of Carlow man

Joseph (Joe) Kehoe - 18th April 2024

Tributes have been paid following the death of Joseph (Joe) of Knocklow, Tullow, County Carlow.

Joseph passed away peacefully on the 18th April 2024 in St Luke's Hosiptal, Kilkenny in his 101st year.

Predeceased by his parents William and Winnifred, brothers Vincent, Andrew, Jack, Bill and Frank, sisters May, Rosie, Brigid, Una, Eileen and Julia. Sadly missed by his brother Lar, sister Tess, nephews, nieces, extended family, kind neighbours and many friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "So sorry to hear the sad news of Joe’s passing . A wonderful character who will be missed by all who knew him
Sincere condolences to his nearest and dearest."

Another reads: "Deepest sympathy on the passing of Joe who looked out for everyone on the school bus run. A gentleman who I enjoyed many chats with morning and evening. May you rest in everlasting peace Joe."

And finally: "Our condolences to all Joe's relatives and friends on his death.
A long life well lived,with many a story and memory to relate. Loved the "old" chat and really appreciated his many visitors. It was a pleasure to spend time in his company. Rest in peace Joe."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing in Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) this Saturday evening, April 20th, from 5pm concluding at 8pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Tullow on Sunday morning at 10.45am for 11am Requiem Mass after which he will be laid to rest in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Tullow.
