'A beautiful lady' Tributes pour in following the death of local Graiguecullen woman

Sheila RAMSBOTTOM (née Dowling) - April 19th , 2024

Tributes pour in following the death of Sheila Ramsbottom (née Dowling) of 188 Sleaty St. and formerly of Whitney Place and New Oak Estate, Carlow.

Shelia passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 19th, 2024.

Beloved wife of the late George, much loved mother of Michelle, Keith and Lisa and adored grandmother of Lauren, Corey, Georgi, Lexi, Libbi and Robin and cherished sister of Larry, John, Mary, Geraldine and the late Nancy and Jim.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Shane, Lisa’s partner Paul, Keith’s partner Ewelina, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "Deepest sympathy Keith and family on the sad passing of your lovely Mam Sheila a beautiful lady. Thinking of the Ramsbottom and Dowling families at this difficult time. Rip Sheila. "

Another reads: "So sad to hear of the passing of Sheila, a great neighbour and friend from Whitney Place. Lovely memories of years ago, condolences to the Dowling and Ramsbottom familes. Rest in Peace Sheila."

And finally: "Sincere sympathy to Mary and family on the sad passing of your sister Sheila. We extend our condolences to all of Sheilas family extended family friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at her home, 188 Sleaty St, Graiguecullen, Carlow (EirCode R93 R763) on Tuesday April 23rd, from 3pm, concluding with Prayers at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday at 10.30am to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.
