Tributes pour in for a 'lovely friendly lady' following the death of local Carlow woman

Mary Lawlor - April 24th, 2024

Tributes pour in following the death of Mary Lawlor(née Byrne) of 6 Seskin Road, Leighlinbridge and formerly Craan, Leighlinbridge, County Carlow on April 24th 2024.

Mary passed away peacefully at St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny.

Beloved wife of the late Maurice, much loved mother of Tommy and cherished grandmother of Murry.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, brother Christy and Anthony, sister Bridgie, grandson, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "Sincere sympathy to Bridgie, Anthony, Christy and all the family on the sad loss of Mary.
She was a lovely friendly lady, always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone. May she Rest In Peace ."

Another reads: "Sincere sympathy to Tommy and Murry. Also to Bridgie, Anthony and Christy on the passing of your lovely mother and sister Mary. Thinking of you all. R.I.P Mary. Annette O'Brien, Craan."

And finally: "We are really sorry to hear of Mary's passing. She was a great neighbour to Lewis and we had many a chat with her at the garden wall."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq, (Eircode R93 C863) on Friday, April 26th, from 3pm, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal on Saturday at 10.30am to St Lazarian’s Church, Leighlinbridge, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in Leighlinbridge Cemetery.
