Tributes paid for local Bennekerry, Carlow man following his passing

Patrick (Paddy) Whelan - 28th April, 2024

Tributes have been paid following the death of Patrick (Paddy) Whelan of Johnstown, Bennekerry, Carlow.

Paddy passed away peacefully in the compassionate care of the doctors, nurses and staff at SignaCare Nursing Home, Bunclody.

Beloved son of the late Norah and Patrick, pre-deceased by his brother John and sisters Josephine, Mary and Noreen. Deeply regretted by his nephews and nieces in The Owens and Keyes families, brothers-in-law Douglas, Eamonn and Brian, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "Rest in peace paddy condolences to your extended family and to Martin who always spoke highly of you, sleep tight Paddy."

Another reads: "Paddy you were always a gent many great conversations over the years, never forgot about my losses. Condolences to your family. RIP."

A third tributes reads: "Sincere condolences to the Owens and Keyes families on the sad passing of Paddy may he rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at McGuill's Funeral Home, Bennekerry, R93 E5N7 on Wednesday from 4.00p.m. concluding with Prayers at 7.00p.m. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Mary's Church, Bennekerry, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.00a.m. followed by interment in Grange Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at SignaCare Nursing Home for their exceptional care of Paddy, also a special thanks in particular to Martin Lawlor, Johnstown Lane.
