Tributes paid to Graiguecullen man who 'Loved a chat about GAA' following his passing

Tributes paid to James (Jimmy) Mullins. 5, Phillip Street, Bagenalstown, County Carlow. Formerly of Harrowcross and Graiguecullen.

Jimmy passed away following a short illness in St Lukes Hospital, Kilkenny on May 7th 2024.

Jimmy was predeceased by his wife Frances, parents Martin and Margaret, brothers Andrew (Andy), Martin and Patrick (Paddy), sister Mary and his sisters-in-law Breda (Murphy), Margaret, Mary and Breda (Mullins). He will be deeply missed by his brothers John (Johnny) and Edward (Neddie), nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "Condolence to the Mullins family and friends on the sad passing of Jimmy a gentleman loved a chat about GAA rest in peace Jimmy."

Another reads: "Sincere sympathy to the Mullins family on the passing of Jim. A lovely neighbour when himself and Frances lived in Duggan Avenue, Graiguecullen. May he rest in peace reunited with Fran."

A third tribute reads: "y Sincere Condolences to the Mullins Family on the sad passing of Jimmy. Jimmy was a lovely gentleman always had time for the chats and the laughs. May Jimmy rest in peace with Frances."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at Cushen's Funeral Home, Kilcarrig Street, Bagenalstown (Eircode; R21 V127) on Thursday, 9th May from 3pm until 8pm. Removal from Cushen's Funeral Home on Friday, 10th May, to arrive at St. Andrew's Church, Bagenalstown, for Requiem Mass at 3pm. Burial afterwards in Newtown Cemetery.
