Anne Flynn (nee Cooper) - Monday 17th June 2024
Tributes have been following the passing Anne Flynn (nee Cooper) of The Willows, Carlow and formerly of Killimer, Kilrush, County Clare.
Anne passed away on June 17th 2024 peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Sacred Heart Hospital Carlow.
Beloved wife of Tom, much loved mother of Lorraine and Deirdre, adored grandmother of Rachel, Dylan, Michaela, Ryan and Áine, cherished sister of Mary (twin), Breda, Rina, Rosalyn, Pierce, and Flannan. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Richie and Eamonn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her parents Percy and Annie and by her brother Sean.
Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of RIP.ie and read as follows: "To Tom and family, my deepest sympathy on the sad passing of Anne. I’ll always remember her for her kindness and intelligence, a lovely lady.
I’m away over the next few days and can’t attend the funeral services. I’ll be there in spirit.
Rest in peace, Anne."
Another reads: "Sincere Sympathy to Tom, Lorraine and Deirdre on the passing of Anne. Its many a good game of golf, chat, laugh and celebrations that we had in Golf Club over the years which I fondly remember.
May her soul rest in peace."
A third user writes: "Our deepest sympathies to Tom and all the family on your beloved Anne’s death. She was a great golfer and will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. We will remember her in our prayers. Rest in eternal peace Anne."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in Holy Family Church, Askea. A private cremation will follow at a later date.
