Tributes paid for Carlow man who was 'a kind hearted gentleman' following his passing

John Nolan - Wednesday 3rd July 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of John Nolan of Knockboy, Rathvilly, County Carlow.

John passed away peacefully in the loving care of all at Bagenalstown Hospital.

Predeceased by his brothers Parkie and Andy and sisters Ellen (Tobin), Annie (Cullen) and Mary (Kelly). Sadly missed by his loving sister Chrissie, nephews, nieces, neighbours, staff of Baltinglass Hospital, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of RIP.IE and read as follows: 

"Sincere Condolences to the Nolan family, It was a pleasure to have known and cared for such a kind hearted gentleman, May he rest in peace."

Another reads: "Sincere condolences to Mrs.OToole , Margaret, Tina and the lads and to all Johns many friends, he was a true gentleman, may his gentle soul rest in heavenly peace."

A third user writes: "Deepest sympathy to John's sister and all his relatives on his passing john was one of life's true gentlemen and a great friend to my father for over 90 years god rest your gentle soul John .Declan, Aisling, Maeve and Sean Clarke."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Thursday evening from 5pm with removal at 6.45pm to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly arriving for 7pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am after which he will be laid to rest in Rathvilly Cemetery.
