Tributes have been paid following the passing of local County Carlow man

Edward Patrick Con Foley - Sunday 4th August 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Edward Patrick Con Foley of Oakhill, Carlow and formerly of Rathvilly, Co. Carlow.

Edward passed away suddenly in the care of his sister Helen and neighbour and friend Mary on the 4th of August 2024.

Predeceased by his mother Moll, step father Tom, brother Jack and sister-in-law Margaret. Sadly missed by his loving son Thomas, grandson Jax, Thomas’ mother Catherine, brothers Leo and Tom, sister Helen, neighbours, relatives, friends and his dear companion Molly.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Light of heaven to you Con,with condolences to all your family relative's and friend's at this sad time, RIP now."

Another reads: "My deepest sympathies to Leo, Helen, Tom, Thomas and all the extended Foley family on the sudden death of Con. I am thinking of you all at this sad time. Rest in peace Con."

A third user writes: "Deepest condolences to Leo Helen Tom a Thomas and all the Foley family on the sad passing of Con may he rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing in Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Thursday evening from 6pm concluding at 8pm. Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly on Friday morning for 11am Requiem Mass after which he will be laid to rest in Rathvilly Cemetery.
