Tributes paid to 'kind, wonderful person' from County Carlow following her passing

Kirsten HYLAND (née Giessen) - Sunday 8th September 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing Kirsten Hyland (née Giessen) of Tintean Risigh, Old Dublin Road and formerly of Dereen Heights, Tullow Road, Carlow.

Kirsten passed away surrounded by her loving family at St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny on September 8th 2024.

Beloved mother of Denise and Michéal Hyland, adored grandmother of Joseph and cherished daughter of Christel and the late Fritz Rolf Giessen.,

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, mother, grandchild, Denise’s partner Iulius (Neon), Michéal’s partner Niamh, sister Saskia, relatives, extended family, especially the Hyland family, her good neighbours and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and reads as follows:

"I'm so sorry Micheal and Denise on the passing of your mam. I spent most of my life up with you all and she was always full of life and was always there for me and had many of great times with you all. Thinking of you all at this sad time."

Another reads: "I am so sorry for your loss Denise and Micheal. Extended family and friends. Your mum was a kind, wonderful person. I am thinking of you all at this most saddest of times. May your mams soul rest peacefully."

A third user writes: "So sorry for your loss of your lovely mammy, Denise and Micheal, condolences to all kirsten family, a great friend, a fantastic neighbour, the best. Great memories I will cherish, and the laughs we have had, Kirsten had a big heart, and she will always be remembered,a huge loss but will not be forgetting, the best oul neighbour."
