Tributes paid to Graiguecullen man with a 'gentle kind soul' following his passing

Ernest Brealey - Tuesday 1st October 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Ernest Brealey, formerly of 107 Church St, Graiguecullen.

Ernest passed away peacefully, on October 1st, 2024, at St Michael’s Nursing Home, Caherconlish, County Limerick.

Beloved brother of Kathleen and twin brother of Marion Collins (Silvermines, Nenagh, Co Tipperary) and the late John, Brian and Joey and treasured son of the late Ernest and Marie.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters, brother-in-law John, Kathleen’s partner Declan, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"A saint on earth. So very sorry for you loss. A gentle kind soul. To his family and friends my sincere condolences.in heaven he rests now. Ar dheis go raibh a anam."

Another reads: "Deepest sympathy to Marion and extended family on the sad passing of Earnest thinking of you all at this very difficult time may his gentle soul rest in peace"

Funeral Arrangements

eposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., (Eircode R93 C863) from 4pm on Friday, October 4th concluding with Prayers at 7.45pm that evening. Removal from there on Saturday at 10.45am to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am and will be followed afterwards by burial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
