Tributes paid to a 'wonderful mother' following the passing of Graiguecullen woman

Bridget (Babby) GRANT (née Carey)

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Bridget (Babby) Grant (née Carey) of 35 Fr Byrne Park and formerly St Fiacc’s Terrace, Graiguecullen, Carlow.

Bridget passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Kilkenny Care Nursing Home on the 15th of October 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Michael, much loved mother of Cora and Jim, adored grandmother of Paul and Lisa and treasured great-grandmother of Adam, Emma, Korey, Chloe and Callie.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"To Cora and Jim and all the family please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your wonderful Mother May She Rest In Peace Amen"

Another reads: "Deepest condolences to Cora, Jim and their families at this sad time. Babby worked in the Seven Oaks Hotel for many years and was loved by our customers and staff alike. She was a true lady and always had a kind word and a smile for everyone every day. May her gentle soul rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Graiguecullen (Eircode R93 ET80) on Thursday, October 17th, from 4pm, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal on Friday at 2.45pm to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 3pm. Burial afterwards in the St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
