Tributes paid to Carlow native who leaves behind 'beautiful memories' following her passing

Maura FORBES (née Stanley) - Carlow / Shinrone, Offaly - Friday 18th October 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Maura Forbes (nee Stanley) of Ballyhide, Carlow and formerly Shinrone, County Offaly

Maura passed away peacefully on October 18th in the wonderful care of Killure Bridge Nursing Home, Waterford.

Predeceased by her husband Noel, sister Ann (recently), brother-in-law Joe (recently). Sadly missed by her niece Shara (Smith), nephews, nieces extended family and her many friends.

The family sincerely would like to thank Mary, Stuart and all the carers and staff of

Killure Bridge Nursing Home for all their kindness shown to Maura.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"I am so very saddened to hear of the passing of Maura. I have beautiful memories of chats with Maura over many years. My deepest sympathy to the Forbes and Stanley families. May the light of Heaven shine on Mauras gentle soul."

Another reads:

"Sincere sympathy to Shara and the Stanley and Forbes families on the death of Maura. Fond memories from Shinrone, Celbridge and Carlow. Rest in peace Maura."

Funeral Arrangements

Funeral Service on Tuesday (Oct 22nd) at 11am in Killeshin Parish Church, Portlaoise Road, Carlow (R93 EC84) followed by cremation.
