Tributes paid to Carlow native who was a 'wonderful woman and always up for the craic'

Christina (Chrissie) Howard (née Ryan) - October 28th, 2024

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Christina (Chrissie) Howard (née Ryan) of Oakley Crescent, Graiguecullen, Carlow and formerly of Bluebell, Dublin.

Christina passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on the 28th October 2024.

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth and much loved mother of Michelle and Simon and adored Nana of Noah.

She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter, son, daughter-in-law grace, brother Liam, sister Marie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, her many friends and her beloved dog and companion Kenzie.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"My heartfelt sympathy, to you Michelle, Simon, Grace and Noah, I am heartbroken that Chrissie has passed, a wonderful woman and always up for the craic, but when I think of Chrissie I break into a smile and that's how I will always remember her."

Another reads:

"The world feels so different without you, cant believe i will never hear ur voice or see your smile. Thank you for always being there for me you were my go to person whenever i needed. I'm sure they were all waiting for u with open arms. Rest in heavenly peace Aunty Chrissie miss and love u always xx Little Rita xx"

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen, Carlow (Eircode R93 ET80) from 5pm on Wednesday, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal on Thursday at 12.45pm to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery, Carlow.
