Martha DUGGAN (née Shaw) - Carlow Town, Carlow - Saturday 4th January 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Martha Duggan, née Shaw of arrowville, Kilkenny Road, and formerly of 3 Court View, Carlow.

Martha passed away peacefully passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family following a long illness.

Beloved wife of Frank and much loved mother of Colin, Mitchell, Alan, Howard, Martha-Jane, Katie and Jennifer. Sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughters, brothers Paddy and Frank, sisters Noeline and Olive, sons-in-law Michael, Gordon and Niall, daughters-in-law Margaret, Susan, Sarah and Gillian, her 20 grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Jim, Harry and Tom, sister Betty and by her daughter-in-law Jackie.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"I was saddened to hear of Fr Oliver’s passing. My condolences to his family.
I was his housekeeper at St Elizabeth Ann Seton parish for many years. Such a wonderful priest and person. He was such a kind person, great sense of humor, caring and always had that twinkle in his eye. Loved by so many."

Another reads: 

"Martha Jane, Im so sorry for your loss. Condolences to you, your dad, your siblings and to the extended Duggan and Shaw families. May your lovely glamorous Mam rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at her home (R93 P9P6) on Tuesday from 2pm to 6pm, Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am in the Cathedral of the Assumption. Private cremation to take place at a later stage.
