Tributes paid to Carlow woman who will be remembered with 'love and affection' following her passing

Carmel Byrne (née Pender) - Fair Green, Bagenalstown, Carlow - Wednesday 8th January 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Carmel Byrne (née Pender) of Fairgreen, Bagenalstown, Carlow.

Carmel passed away peacefully at University Hospital Waterford on January 8th 2025.

Predeceased by her brothers Patsy, Sean, Christy, Andy and Tom and sisters Judy, Peg and Ann, Sadly missed by her loving husband Terry, sons Ter, Anthony and Ciaran, sister Molly, brother Josie. daughter-in-law Elaine, Ters partner Sylvia, granddaughter Niamh, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere sympathy to the Byrne and Pender families. You will be so sadly missed by all. Rest in peace dear Carmel in the love and protection of our dear heavenly mother and her beloved son Jesus. Until we meet again. God bless Carmel. Forever remembered with love and affection. Carmel."

Another reads: 

"Sincere sympathy to Terry and family, extended Pender and Byrne families on the sad passing of Carmel. Thoughts and prayers with you all at this very sad time. "

Funeral arrangements

Reposing in Somers Funeral Home Bagenalstown (Eircode R21 DY66) on Friday afternoon from 2.30pm to 7.30pm, with Funeral Prayers at 6.pm.

Removal on Saturday Morning arriving at St. Lazerian's Church Ballinkillen for Funeral Mass at 11 am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
