Tributes paid to Carlow woman who was 'lovely, lively, and witty' following her passing

Josephine O'Kelly (née Kavanagh)-Clonagoose, Borris, Carlow - Tuesday 21st January 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Josephine O'Kelly (née Kavanagh) of Clonagoose, Borris, Carlow.

Josephine passed away peacefully at St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny surrounded by her loving family on the 21st of January 2025.

Predeceased by her husband Paddy and beloved son Jack.

Sadly missed by her loving daughter Margot, brother Michael, sister in law Josephine, son in law Brian, grandchildren Rebecca, Jordan and Ben, great-grandchildren Bonnie and Ezra, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"I am so sorry to hear of Josephine's passing. My Deepest Sympathies to Margo, Brian and family and to Michael, Josie and family on your sad loss. Josephine was a lovely, lively and witty person who will be missed by many.
May her gentle soul Rest in Peace."

Another reads: 

"Very sorry to hear Josephine has passed away. Sincere sympathy to Margot, Michael and all the extended family. She was always such a pleasant lady. May she rest in peace."

Funeral arrangements

Reposing at Joyce's Funeral Home, Borris (R95DV76) from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday. Funeral to arrive at Sacred Heart Church, Borris for Requiem Mass at 2pm on Thursday followed by burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
