Tributes paid to Carlow woman following her sad passing

Carmel Round (née Doran) - Barrack Street, Tullow, Carlow - Wednesday 22nd January 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Carmel Round (née Doran) of Court View, Barrack Street, Tullow, Carlow.

Carmel passed away lovingly cared for by the nursing staff of St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny and her devoted family on the 22nd of January 2025.

Pre-deceased by her parents, her brother Paddy and sister Mary. Beloved wife of Tony and adored mother of Gina, Kieron and Nicola. Cherished grand-mother of Chantelle, Bethany, Tiffany and Robbie. Great grand-mother of Cody, Sophia, Darryl, Aidan, Ethan and Danielle. Sadly missed by her sisters Bridie and Bernie, her brothers Ted, Johnny, Tommy, Michael and Joe, extended family, friends and kind neighbours.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere sympathies to the extended Round and Doran families on Carmel's passing. May she rest in peace."

Funeral arrangements

Reposing in Byrne's Funeral Parlour, The Square, Tullow (eircode R93 P4F4) on Sunday, 26th January from 3pm until 6pm.

Removal will take place on Monday at 10.45am to Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Tullow to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Tullow.
