Tributes have been paid following the passing of Bridget (Bridie) MURPHY (née Hayden) of Greystones, Wicklow / Carlow Town Carlow.
Bridget passed away in her home at Kilcoole Lodge, with family by her side on Tuesday January 21st 2025.
Predeceased by her loving husband Jack and siblings Tony, Michael, Dinah, Frankie, Ena, Paddy and Claire.
She will be sadly missed and so lovingly remembered by her children Terena, Martina and Jerry, sons-in-law Liam and Ryan, daughter-in-law Belinda, her adored and adoring grandchildren Aoife, Tiarnán, Cathal and Gráinne, Cian and Róisín, Holden and Joshua, Cian’s wife Danica, great-grandchild Connall, sisters Molly and Betty, brother-in-law Dee, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Deepest sympathy to Betty, Dee and extended Murphy & Hayden family on the sad passing of Bridie. Fond memories of when Jack & Bridie lived in Burrin St. Always so friendly, with a kind word to everyone she would meet. May Bridie rest in peace."
Another reads:
"Betty & Dee Sincere sympathy to you Also the Murphy & Hayden Families at this sad time Bridie was a lovely lady in the shop in Tullow St May she Rest in Peace."
Funeral arrangements
Reposing in Byrne's Funeral Parlour, The Square, Tullow (eircode R93 P4F4) on Sunday, 26th January from 3pm until 6pm.
Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Monday evening (Jan.27) from 7.00pm, concluding with prayers at 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday (Jan.28) at 10.00am in Holy Rosary Church, La Touche Road, Greystones, followed by burial in Redford Cemetery, Blacklion, Greystones. Family flowers only please.
