Tributes paid to a Carlow man who was a 'lovely man always' following his passing

Michael Byrne - Myshall, Carlow - Monday 3rd February 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Michael Byrne of St. Oliver’s Park, Myshall, Carlow.

Michael passed away peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on Monday 3rd of February 2025.

Predeceased by his father Thomas, sister Jean and brother Kevin Anthony. Sadly missed by his loving mother Barbara, brothers Pat, Thomas and John, sisters Mary, Dolores and Irene, daughter Shona, aunts, uncle, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"RIP Michael. Lovely man always."

Another reads:

"Deepest sympathy to Barbara and the Byrne family on the sad passing of Michael. May he rest in peace."

Funeral arrangements

Funeral arriving to The Church of The Holy Cross, Myshall on Wednesday for 2pm Requiem Mass after which he will be laid to rest in Lismaconly Cemetery, Myshall.

The family wish to sincerely thank the doctors, nurses and care staff in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.
