Tributes paid to Carlow man who was a 'lovely kind gentleman' following his passing

Neil Farrell - Slate Row, Hacketstown, Carlow - Saturday 8th February 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Neil Farrell of Slate Row, Hacketstown, Carlow.

Neil passed away ppeacefully at his brother’s home in Waterford, following a short illness on the 8th of February 2025.

He is the beloved son of Michael and the late Brigid (recently deceased), and beloved brother of Stuart, Clare and Michelle. Neil will be very sadly missed by his dad and siblings, his brothers-in-law Joss and Thomas, his sister-in-law Ludmila, his godson Dylan, his nieces Mila, Aobha, Rowan and Annie, his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and all his friends and neighbours.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"So sorry to hear of the passing of neil so a lovely kind gentleman he will be missed his with his mam now both of them in the arms of the angels condolence to his dad Stuart claire Michelle and all farrell family may his gentle soul rip"

Another reads:

"Dear Michael, Claire, Michelle, Stuart and all your extended family. We offer our Heartfelt Sympathy on the death of Neil. He is with his lovely Mother Brigid now.
Rest In Peace Neil.
Bridie and Val Morgan."

Funeral arrangements

Reposing at Doyle’s Funeral Home, Killaveney, Tinahely (Y14 DA52) on Monday evening from 5pm, concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral arriving to St. Brigid’s Church, Hacketstown on Tuesday, via Clonmore Road, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Hacketstown cemetery.
