RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow woman who was 'wonderful, and fun loving' following her passing

Teresa HUGHES (née Ryan) - Carlow Town, Carlow - Sunday 16th February 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Teresa Hughes of Dolmen Gardens, Hacketstown Road and formerly Monacurragh, Carlow.

Teresa passed away peacefully in the gentle and kind care of SignaCare Killerig on the 16th of February 2025.

Beloved wife of Fred and adored mother of Georgina. Sadly missed by her loving husband, daughter, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents William and Peggie Ryan, Kilabban and by her sister Peggy Furey.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Heartfelt condolences to Fred n Georgina who Teresa spoke about so often and to her extended family at this incredibly sad time. Teresa was a wonderful , innovative n fun loving nurse who brightened the lives of all those she cared for and also all of her fellow staff members who had the pleasure of working along side her.
May she now rest in eternal peace."

Another reads:

"So sorry to hear of Teresa's passing, she was a true lady. Thinking of Georgina and all her family at this time. Teresa, you'll be greatly missed by all who knew you. Rest in peace"

Funeral arrangements

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Tuesday evening (Feb 18th) from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am in the Cathedral of the Assumption. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
