RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow man who 'always had a smile' following his passing

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Trevor Watkins of Ballynoe, Ardattin, Carlow.

Trevor passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on the 18th of February 2025.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Hilda, daughters Janet and Gillian, son David, son-in-law Dermot, daughter-in-law Ciara, Janet’s partner Donal, grandchildren Hannah, Teagan, Tom, Pippa and Aaron, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Harold, Heather, Victor and Caroline, nephews and nieces, his lifetime friend Ted, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere sympathy to Hilda, Janet, Gillian, David, grandchildren and extended family on sad passing of your beloved Trevor, he was always pleasant, obliging and a smile for the visitors in Altamont.
May he rest in peace."

Another reads:

"Deepest sympathy to Hilda Janet Jillian and David.
Harold and Heather also Victor and
Caroline and extended family so sad to here of the passing of Trevor,
Never forgotten we had great times and good memories rest now Trevor"

Funeral arrangements

Reposing at Halligan’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Rathvilly (Eircode R93 C560) on Thursday evening from 5pm concluding at 8pm. Funeral arriving to All Saints Church, Aghade (Eircode R93 XD79) on Friday for 2pm Service after which he will be laid to rest in the adjoining Churchyard.
