RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow woman who was 'a pleasure to know' following her passing

Margaret (Maggie) Joyce (née Waters) - Rathgeran, Ballymurphy, Carlow - Monday 17th February 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Margaret (Maggie) Joyce nee Waters of Rathgeran, Ballymurphy, Borris, Carlow.

Margaret passed away on Monday the 17th of February 2025.

Pre deceased by her loving husband John and daughter baby Helen. Sadly missed by her daughters and sons Anne (Whelan), Mary (Kelly), Peggy (Ward), John, Michael, Patrick, Nicholas and Thomas. Daughters in law, sons in law, 21 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Pre deceased by her sisters Stacia, Mary, Helen and brother John.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere condolences to all the joyce family and grand children, thinking of you all maggie was a lady and a pleasure to know! That generation is special in every way i will miss the chats maggie your at peace now thinking of all the family"

Another reads:

"My deepest sympathy to Peggy and all the family at this most difficult time. May you find strength in one another in the coming days and weeks. Thinking of you all as you celebrate her life, may she rest easy in Gods loving arms RIP"

Funeral arrangements

Reposing at Joyce's Funeral Home, Borris (R95DV76) from 6.30pm to 9pm today (Monday) and Tuesday from 12noon to 6pm. Funeral to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Ballymurphy for funeral prayers at 7pm.Requiem Mass at 11am on Wednesday followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
