RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow native who was a 'fantastic character' following his passing

Ken BRODERICK - Carlow Town, Carlow / Wexford - Monday 24th February 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Ken Broderick of Cathedral Close, Tullow Street, Carlow and formerly of Wexford.

Ken passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on Monday the 24th of February 2025.

Sadly missed by his sons Martin and Brian, Mary and Aileen, brother Des, also by Carol, Britian, Seán, Adam and Séamus, extended family, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere condolences to Ken's family and friends. His passing is a heartfelt loss, as I remember him as a great neighbour, kind friend, exceptional conversationalist, fantastic character and a true gentleman. Rest in Peace Ken."

Another reads:

"We are saddened to hear about Ken's passing. He was truly a gentleman. Our deepest condolences to Mary and the Broderick family. May your precious memories bring you comfort at this sad time. Rest in peace Ken."

Funeral arrangements

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Tuesday (Feb 25th) from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow followed by a private cremation.
