James (Big Jim) NOLAN - 30 Oakley, Park, Tullow Rd., Carlow Town, Carlow, R93E0W4 - Saturday 1st March 2025
Tributes have been paid following the passing of James (Big Jim) Nolan of Oakley Park, Tullow Rd and formerly Little Barrack St, Carlow.
James passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 1st, 2025.
Beloved husband of Nuala, much loved father of Joanne and Laura, adored grandfather of Toni and Alex and cherished brother of Edward, Laurence and Michael.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law Thomas and Ger, brothers, sisters-in-law, aunt Breda, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Our Deepest Condolences To Nuala & The Nolan Family On The Passing Of Jim ( Big Jim ) it was a pleasure to have known & shared so many years in Braun Factory with Big Jim ! He had time for everyone , he always has that cheeky smile that would make you smile to ! Another one of the Braun family gone. Big Jim Rest In Peace "
Another reads:
"I am heartbroken for your loss Nuala, Joanne & Laura, Toni & Alex and the extended Nolan family. We have been blessed to live next door for a number of years and have enjoyed so many chats and laughs with James across the wall and in your home. Thinking of you all at this very sad time. RIP James."
Funeral Arrangements.
Reposing at his home 30 Oakley Park, Tullow Rd., Carlow (Eircode R93 E0W4) from 4pm on Wednesday March 5th, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Thursday at 9.30am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
