RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow woman who was a 'beautiful, kind lady' following her passing

Catherine (Kathleen) Magee, nee Godfrey - Kilkenny Road, Carlow - Monday 24th March 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Catherine (Kathleen) Magee, nee Godfrey of Tyndall Court, Kilkenny Road, Carlow.

Catherine passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on the 24th of March 2025.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Seán, daughters Deirdre, Órla and Gráinne, sons-in-law Ronan, John and Philip, grandchildren Ciarán, Mark, Brian, Eiméar, Anna, Emma and Jane, her5 great-grandchildren, nephews Pat, Michael and David, niece Elizabeth, sister-in-law, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her infant son Donal and by her siblings Ena, Donal, Paddy and Michael.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Our sincere condolences to Deirdre,Orla, Grainne, Sean and the extended family, on the passing of your treasured Mammy and best friend. A beautiful, kind Lady who loved a chat and a laugh.
May Kathleen Rest in Peace."

Another reads:

"My sincere condolences to the family. May you rest in peace Kathleen."

Funeral Arrangements.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Thursday evening (March 27th) from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 2pm in the Cathedral of the Assumption. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
