RIP: Tributes paid to a Carlow woman who would always 'stop for a chat' following her passing

Frances Murtagh - Tullow, Carlow - Monday 24th March 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Frances Murtagh of Tullow, Carlow.

Frances passed away at St Luke's Hospital Kilkenny on Monday the 24th of March 2025.

Predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth, sisters Maureid, Amelia and Renee and her brothers Paddy, Liam and John.

Frances will be very sadly missed by her sisters Dympna, Imelda and Maria, brother Paul, brothers-in-law Richard and Alan, sister-in-law Catherine, nieces, nephews, cousins and her wide circle of friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest sympathy to you all on the sad passing of Frances. She would enjoy & stop for a chat & loved admiring the flower's in the gardens when in bloom. Rip Frances"

Another reads:

"Sincere condolences to all the Murtagh family on the sad loss of Frances a lovely gentle lady and a pleasure to have a conversation with. May Frances Rest in Peace"

Funeral Arrangements.

Reposing at the George Mullins Funeral Home, Kilcullen Road, Naas (Eircode W91CD0K) on Thursday 27th March from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6:30pm. Funeral on Friday morning with Requiem Mass at 11am in The Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballycane, Naas, followed by burial in St Corban's Cemetery, Naas.
