RIP: Tributes paid to Graiguecullen native who was always 'smiling and loved' following his passing

John Lawler - Formerly Abbeylands, Castledermot, Kildare / Graiguecullen, Carlow - Saturday 29th March 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of John Lawler of Graiguecullen, Carlow and formerly of Abbeylands, Castledermot, Kildare.

John passed away surounded by his Loving family in the wonderful care of the Management and staff of Hillview nursing home. After a long illness borne with great courage and dignity on Saturday 29th March 2025.

Predeceased by his Parents John and Kathleen, Sisters Geraldine and Annette, Grandson Callum

Loving father of Patrick, David and Rachel and Grandad to Casey, Angel, Teighin, Lewis, Rhys, Jordan, Masie

Sadly missed by his Sons, Daughter, there Mother Jean, Brother Thomas, Sisters Phil, Margaret and Majella, Brothers in law, Sister in law, Son In Law Brian, Daughters in law Mandy and Toni, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunt, Uncles Grandchildren Extended Family Relative and Friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"We are so sorry to hear the news of Jack’s passing, we had the privilege of getting to know Jack in Hillview nursing home. He was always smiling and loved when we visited with our dog Frank. May his gentle soul rest in peace."

Another reads:

"Condolences to Majella, Mag, Phill, and Thomas, paddy, David and Rachel, on the passing of John, we are so sorry to hear this, Thinking of you all at this sad time, we will always have fond memories of John and all the Laughs,
Rest in Eternal peace John xxx"

Funeral Arrangements.

Reposing in Lacey` s Funeral Home, John St Carlow, (R93 R8P4) on Sunday 30th March from 5pm to 8pm and

on Monday from 3pm concluding with Prayers at 6.30.

Removal on Tuesday 1st April at 10.15am to the Church of the Assumption Castledermot, arriving for 11` o Clock Requiem Mass

Burial immediately afterwards in Coltstown Cemetery.
