RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow woman who was 'so nice' following her passing

Claire RYAN (née Haughney) - Carlow Town, Carlow - Saturday 5th April 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Claire Ryan née Haughney of Grange Court and St. Killian’s Crescent, Carlow.

Claire passed away on April 5th 2025 at Borris Lodge Nursing Home in her 98th year.

Beloved wife of the late Paudge. Much loved mother of Marion, Martin and Rosario and cherished sister of Loretto and Carina. Sadly missed by her loving son, daughters, sisters, sons-in-law Kieran and Gerry, grandchildren Christine, Billy, Darren, Rachel, Eva and Peter, great-grandchildren Saoirse, Evelyn, Alice, Emily and Keelan, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her brother Derek.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest Condolences to Martin, Darren and all the Ryan and Haughney families on the passing of Claire. She was so nice when I moved to Grange Court and a great neighbour all the years she lived beside me. "

Another reads:

"Deepest sympathies to Marion, Martin, Rosario and the extended family. Fond memories of childhood when I spent time in my granny's house and played with you all."

Funeral Arrangements.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Monday (April 7th) from 5pm to 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10am in the Cathedral of the Assumption. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
