Kathleen (Kathryn) Ward (née McGuill) - Garden Village, Kilpedder, Wicklow / Bennekerry, Carlow - Monday 14th April 2025
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Kathleen (Kathryn) Ward (née McGuill) Late of Kernanstown, Bennekerry, Carlow.
Kathleen passed away peacefully, in the compassionate care of the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Vincent's Private Hospital, Dublin
Beloved daughter of the late Jim and Nancy. Kathryn will be sadly missed by her loving husband Alan, son David, her adored grandchildren Lauren, Darren and David, brothers Michael, Tony and Bernard, sisters-in-law Eileen, Sadie and Catherine, brother-in-law Philip, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, former work colleagues, neighbours and friends.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"My deepest sympathies to Alan and David, all of Kathryn's extended family & her friends. I am sorry for your great loss.
I was fortunate to have worked with Kathryn back in the mid 80ies.
A truly great colleague and a wonderful lady. So very sad to hear of her passing.
May Kathryn rest in peace."
Another reads:
"Very sorry to hear this bad news My deepest sympathy to Catherine's family I had the pleasure of working with her in the RTB in the early years during what were challenging times. She was a rock of sense ,professional insightful, fairminded and always good humoured. May she rest in peace"
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at the William Doyle Funeral Home, Kilcoole (A6 3K795) on Tuesday from 6.00p.m. until 8.00p.m. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Patrick's Church, Kilquade, (A63 TF61) arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.00a.m. followed by interment with her parents in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bennekerry, Carlow, (R93 RD36) approximate arrival time 2.00p.m.
