RIP: Tributes paid to 'beautiful young mother' from Carlow following her passing

Avril Collier - Tinryland, Carlow / Carlow Town, Carlow - Thursday 17th April 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Avril Collier of Tinryland and formerly of “Emily Cottage”, Green Lane, Carlow.

Avril passed away peacefully, on April 17th, 2025, at Waterford University Hospital.

Beloved mother of Adam, adored daughter of Ann and the late James and cherished sister of Robert.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son, mother, brother, sister-in-law Leonie, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, relatives and friends

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"What a beautiful young mother, with a stunning smile, that would light up a room, taken from her family, her son, way too soon. Be at peace now and look after your son, from a distance!"

Another reads:

"So saddened to hear that Avril has passed, I have such wonderful fond memories of her from secondary school. She always had a smile on her face and was always a ray of positivity and happiness, an absolutely beautiful girl and a lady in every sense of the word. My sincerest condolences to her son, and her family may they find comfort in each other at this heartbreaking time, may Avril rest in perfect peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 4pm on Tuesday, April 22nd , concluding with Prayers at 7.30pm that evening. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11 am in St Joseph’s Church, Tinryland folowed by funeral afterwards to Carpenter Bros Cremation Chapel, Shamrock Sq for cremation Service at 12.45pm.
