Sarah Dowling (née Dowling) - Carlow - Sunday 11th May 2025
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Sarah Dowling (née Dowling) of Kernanstown, Bennekerry, Carlow formerly of Lough Sleaty, Laois.
Sarah passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on May 11th 2025, at The District Hospital Carlow.

Beloved wife of Stephen, cherished mother of Martina, Dymphna, Ger, Anthony, Patricia, Eamonn and Pauline, adorded grandmother of Sarah, Nicole, Graham, Kayleigh, Tanya, Leo, Ellie, Zoe, Lee, Amy, Jamie, Evan, Jason, Darragh, Stephen, Sophie, Ian and baby Terry Patrick and treasured great grandmother of Aoibhinn, Eibhlin, Oisin, Jayden, Tara, Brody, Ivy, Halyie, Jackson, Ava and Aalayah.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, daughters, sons, brothers Michael and Noel, sisters-in-law Liz and Dymphna, extended family, relatives and many neighbours and friends.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Sincere condolences to all the Dowling family, Sarah was such a lovely kind and gentle person. She will leave a memory on all that had the good fortune to know her."
Another reads:
"Sincere condolences to Stephen, Anthony and and all the Dowling Family on the sad passing of your beloved wife and Mother. Sarah was lovely lady always. May she rest in peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at her son Anthony’s house, Bennekerry, R93 V2X6 on Monday (12th May) from 2pm with removal that evening at 6pm to St. Marys Church, Bennekerry, arriving for funeral prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass at 11am on Tuesday morning (13th May), followed by burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
