RIP: Tributes paid following the passing of Carlow woman who was a 'beautiful kind person'

Marie Murphy (née Murphy) - Carlow Town, Carlow - Thursday 22nd May 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Marie Murphy (née Murphy) of New Oak Estate, Carlow and formerly of Pearse Road, Graiguecullen.

Marie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on May 22nd 2025, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved wife of Jim, much loved mother of Sharon, Michelle and James, adored grandmother of Emer, Robert, Róisín, Rhys, Hayley, Eoin, and Cara and cherished sister of Peter, John-Joe, Trisha, Vincent, Una, Veronica and the late Eddie.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, son, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law James and Thomas, daughter-in-law Fiona, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest sympathy to Jim Sharon Michelle James and Marie brothers sisters grandchildren and extended murphy family such a beautiful kind person she was may she rest in peace"

Another reads:

"Sincere condolences to Jim and Family, Vincent, Veronica and all the extended Murphy families on the passing of Marie. You are all in our thoughts at this sad and difficult time. May Marie rest in eternal peace."
