RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow man who will be remembered for his 'sense of humour'

Tom Byrne - Carlow Town, Carlow - Friday 23rd May 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Tom Byrne of Cois Abhainn, Burrin Road, Carlow and formerly of Little Barrack Sreet.

Tom passed away peacefully on May 23rd ,2025, at Waterford University Hospital.

He will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.

“May Tom’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace”

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"My deepest sympathies to all the family and friends especially Jimmy and family. So sorry and sad to hear of the passing of Tommy. May he rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ. Tommy will be remembered fondly for his sense of humour and his quick wit.
Rest in peace Tommy your suffering is over and you will be rewarded in heaven for all your good deeds and your love for your family and friends."

Another reads:

"Kerrie, Tracey, Ken, Wesley and Roxanne I am deeply sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. Thinking of you all at this time"

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at his home, 12 Cois Abhainn, Burrin Rd., Carlow (Eircode R93 KX92) on Sunday (May 25th) from 4pm until 7pm that evening.

Cremation Service at Carpenter Bros Cremation Chapel, Shamrock Sq., on Monday at 1.30pm.
