'Kindest and gentle soul' Tributes paid to Carlow woman following her passing

Marian O'Shea (née McMahon)- Crettyard, Laois / Carlow - Saturday 14th June 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Marian O'Shea (née McMahon) of Newtown, Crettyard, Laois / Carlow.

Marian passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on June 14th 2025.

Predeceased by her father John, brothers Brian and Keith. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Pa, daughter Emily, son Adam, mother Marie, brothers David, John, grandmother Marian, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandniece's, grandnephew's, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Beautiful Marian! Tragically taken too soon, when you have so much life to live. You were one of the most kindest and gentle soul that I had the pleasure of knowing. RIP sweet Angel. Heaven is a better place with you in it. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of Marianne’s family."

Another reads: 

"Please accept our sincere condolences on the devastating loss of Marian. To the McMahon and O'Shea families we are thinking of You All at this terribly sad time. RIP Marian."

Funeral Arrangements 

Funeral mass on Tuesday at 12noon in St. Abban's Church, Doonane, (R93AT86) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please.
