Maria Redmond nee Mulleague - Graiguecullen, Carlow / Athlone, Westmeath - Monday 16th June 2025
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Maria Redmond nee Mulleague of Graiguecullen, Carlow and formerly of Athlone.
Maria passed away peacefully surrounded by her heartbroken family after a short illness in the care of the Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford on Monday the 16th of June 2025.

Dearly loved wife of Brian and adored mother of Ellen and Lily. Sadly missed by her loving husband, daughters, father Bernard, brother Lawrence, sisters Lizzy and Letitia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and her colleagues in the Seven Oaks Hotel. Predeceased by her mother Betty.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"I'm so sad to hear of Maria's passing. She was such a kind, fair, intelligent and warm soul. I have very fond memories of working with her on the St. FIaccs Parents Commitee and in the Seven Oaks. My deepest sympathies to Brian, Ellen, Lily and all who love Maria. I hope you fnd strength and comfort in her lasting memories and in each other."
Another reads:
"Rest In Peace Maria, you were a true friend and great work colleague, you have been taken too soon, we will miss your hearty debates and wonderful laughter at tea break. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brian, Ellen, Lily, Bernard, Lawrence, Lizzy, Letitia and all of your family as they mourn your passing to Gods Heavenly kingdom."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow (R93 H308) on Friday (June 20th) from 5pm to 8pm with prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen (R93 EO48) followed by cremation service at 1pm in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home.
