RIP: Tributes paid to Carlow native who was  a 'pure gentleman' following his passing

Pat Cullinan - Carlow / Waterford - Thursday 19th June 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Pat Cullinan of Quinagh Green, Carlow and formerly of Old Road, Kilmacthomas, County Waterford.

Pat passed away peacefully, on June 19th at St Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny.

Sadly missed by his daughter Mary, son Padraig, their mother Margo, sister Cait, grandchildren Brian, Maria, Eoin, David and Niall, son-in-law Padraig, daughter-in-law Helen, brother-in-law John and his sister-in-law Mary, nephews, niece, extended family, relatives and friends.

Predeceased by his brother David. Also remembered by his good friends and neighbours in Quinagh Green.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Our deepest condolences to Mary, Padraig, Margo, and the extended family on the sad passing of Pat. He was a pure gentleman. May he Rest in Peace."

Another reads: 

"Deepest Sympathy Cait, Mary, Padraig and extended Family. Will be thinking of you all at this time.
Have fond memories of Pat here on the Old Road, going back many years.
Rest in Peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 4pm on Saturday, June 21st, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Sunday morning at 11.30am to The Holy Family Church, Askea arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon followed by burial afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.
