'Truly lovely and wonderful person' Tributes paid to Carlow following her passing

Dolores Cunninghan, née Quigley - Carlow Town, Carlow / Ballindaggin, Wexford - Saturday 21st June 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Dolores Cunninghan, née Quigley of Athy Road, Carlow and formerly of Ballindaggin, Enniscorthy, County Wexford.

Dolores passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday 21st June 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Colm and loving mother of the late Donal.

Much loved mother of Eamon, Colm, Niamh, Niall, Orla, Dara, Ciara and extended family member Pamela. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, sons-in-law Michael, Tom and Peadar, daughters-in-law Conchi, Teresa, Donna, Sandra and Catherine, adored grandchildren Brian, Niall, Conor, Ciarán, Fiona, Áedán, Patrick, Fionn, Brendan, Molly, Sam, Ronan, Alannah, Caoimhe and Éibhear, great-grandchildren Cillian and Leah, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. Predeceased by her brother John.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere condolences to Ciara and all the Cunningham family on the passing of your dear mother. May she rest in gentle peace. Thinking of you at this sad and difficult time."

Another reads: 

"A truly lovely and wonderful person, may Dolores rest in peace. Sympathies and condolences to her family."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at her home on Monday from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Cathedral of the Assumption to arrive for funeral Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
