Tributes paid to Carlow man remembered for his 'kindness, humour, and generous spirit'

James (Jim) Kehoe - Kenilworth, Ontario, Canada / Ballybar, Carlow. - Thursday 29th May 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of James (Jim) Kehoe of Kenilworth, Ontario, Canada, and formerly of Ballybar, Carlow.

James passed away in Canada surrounded by his adoring family and friends, and the staff of Hamilton General Hospital. Jim passed away on May 29th after a long battle with illness, courageously borne.

Predeceased by his brother Tom and his father Paddy, Jim will be forever cherished by his heartbroken mother Anne, his loving wife Naomi, his precious daughters Jade, Jaylene, Jordanna and Meadhbh, his brothers Paddy, John, Vinny, Des and Mick, sisters Helen and Anne-Marie, his extended in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a wide circle of friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Deepest condolences on the passing of Jim Kehoe an absolute gent in every sense of the word. Thinking of his beloved wife Naomi, his daughters, and all the extended Kehoe family at this heartbreaking time. Jim’s kindness, humour, and generous spirit touched so many, and he will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace."

Another reads: 

"My sincere condolences to all Jim's family in Ireland and Canada. I have such fond memories of Jim from our teenage years in Carlow and it's so sad for you all that he's been taken too soon. May you all find strength and support each other in the hard days ahead."

Funeral Arrangements 

Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 5th at 11am in St. Joseph's Church, Tinryland followed by burial of his Ashes in the adjoining cemetery.
