'A kind and beautiful person' - Community rocked by unexpected death of beloved Carlow woman

RIP: Sharon Brennan (née Cosgrove)

Tributes have flooded in following the unexpected death of Sharon Brennan of Lisdale, Leaugh, Carlow, and formerly of Liscolman, Tullow.

Sharon sadly passed away on Saturday, 19 July at St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny.

Her RIP.ie notice reads: "Beloved wife of Paul, much loved mother of Jack and Evan, adored daughter of John and Mary and cherished sister of Jonathan, Keith, Caroline and Fiona.

"She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, parents, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, grandfather, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, work colleagues, good neighbours, relatives and friends."

Sharon's unexpected death has rocked the local community, with hundreds of people sharing touching tributes online to the young mother of two.

Among the many messages online, one person wrote about Sharon: "I can only describe what a lady she was, she would always stop for the chat no matter what and never to busy to give you the time. Always there to lend a helping hand no matter what the cause."

Another shared: "Such a lovely, kind & gentle person whom we all remember fondly & will be deeply missed."

Throughout the countless tributes left by friends and family, they all describe Sharon as a "beautiful and kind person" who will be sorely missed.

Sharon's funeral arrangements will follow soon.
