Beloved husband of the late Lily and much loved father of Jacqueline, Susan, Joe, Barry, Arlene and the late Clare and Ruth. Sadly missed by his sons, daughters, brother John, sisters Ann, Mary Jo and Rosemary, grandchildren Adam, Ben, Lee, Alex, Joey, Rebecca, Robert, Bonnie, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle from 3pm on Thursday with prayers at 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 11am in the Church of the Holy Family, Askea. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Peter Matthews of 2 Leinster Cottages, Maynooth, Co. Kildare and formerly Fonthill, Milford, Co. Carlow, passed away peacefully, at St Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, surrounded by his loving family, on September 25th, 2018.

Much loved brother of Reggie.

He will be sadly missed by his loving brother, brother-in-law Jack Stratton, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Barrack St., Carlow from 2 pm on Thursday with Prayers at 8pm. Removal on Friday at 10.30a.m to St. Fintan’s Church, Ballinabranna arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
